Sleeping environment
Good sleep is essential for a good life. We have therefore tried to create an environment where you can relax. The apartment is on the second floor of the estate "manor house" (the house where the farms owner lives). In the "big house" only you will live, EvaLis and Krister live in one of the farm houses. On the ground floor is the café during the day and some evenings, but at night a soft stillness resides in the house.
The bedroom has two beds and in the living room we have a sofa bed. The sofa is easily transformed into a comfortable double bed. The apartment also has a cot and a camp bed. Sofa beds are sometimes heavy and uncomfortable but we think we found a model that is comfortable. All beds have nice pillows and of course a quilt and blanket so you can vary how hot you want it.
You are welcome to bring your own bedding. However, you can also rent comfortable bed linen from us.
Living room
In the living room, you can create your own cozy corner. Borrow a book in the book shelf or bring one along, pull up the reading light to the living room chair and put a blanket over your legs. The finishing touch: a cup or a glass of something yummy. If you have your family with you, do not forget to send them off to some great activity.
For vivid moments with family and friends there are games, puzzles and toys in a cupboard. A Monopoly from the 70's and modern as well as classic toy for kids of all ages can be found.
Kitchen
The kitchen is small but functional. There is a small oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker and of course fridge with freezer compartment. The kitchen is equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and such for cooking for six people.
A nice detail in the kitchen is the slanted kitchen cabinets with sliding doors and veneer painting. The kitchen also has a beautiful old wood stove with associated wood box. These are however not used anymore.
Grill can be borrowed, you can bring your own coal or buy in the farm shop.
Bathroom with shower
The bathroom was refurbished some years ago. The water heater is big, so four people should be able to shower after one another.
Balcony and outdoor living
Outside the apartment is a spacious hall, which both leads to the first floor, and to your balcony. How about breakfast overlooking the garden and birch trees, or a nap in the sun? The balcony is south facing.
If you want to risk grass stains on your pants, there is "kubb" and croquet to borrow.
Safe but not allergy sanitized
We hope that you will feel safe when you stay with us. The apartment has real locks and we clearly communicate to other visitors that the upstairs is solely for you.
The farm has cats and of course sheep and lambs. In the garden there are birches and other trees with pollen and the apartment is not allergenic sanitized. During the hay harvest, there is extra pollen in the air.
Feel free to customize the apartment
Like the rest of the farm, the house has changed over time. The apartment has traces of materials and techniques from many ages. This evolution we think is exciting, and while we renovated the apartment to increase comfort and convenience we have been careful to preserve the rooms' character.
We encourage you to customize the apartment to suit you. Perhaps you want to move the chair so you can ease into it and still have views over the farm? We would be very glad if you choose to restore the apartment to it's original condition before you depart.
